Let them eat cake

When Grammy comes to town it's always a special event, rules are gently set aside, bedtimes are stretched and presents are in endless supply. Living 3,000 miles away from family is hard, but it makes these visits that much sweeter, here's to many more.

So long, farewell summer

As we draw a close to summer on this long weekend I want to say thank you for the long days with friends and family, letting your children's city feet stretch out in the sand and dirt, and sharing childhood experiences with a new generation. Thank you Summer, see you soon.

Lovely Lou

These two Mothers are filled with so much love for their sweet baby girl, and I'm lucky to be a witness to these early weeks of Motherhood. A physical reminder of their love for Lou are the gold necklaces that glint in the background, a sweet little "L" in the center, saying everything with so little.

My intent is to create a gallery that families will continue to look back on, but sometimes I capture images that I can't stop looking at or thinking about, and this was one of those times.

Day on the Bay

This day was absolutely perfect for these Bay Area natives, warm sun, no wind, and a spectacular view of the Golden Gate Bridge. None of that compared to being able to catch the small moments like a smile from one of the boys that sparked an even bigger smile from their parents. Best yet, was the impromptu dance party that broke out on an outcropping of rock that was surrounded by seals and pelicans.

Sun and sand and silliness, oh my!

This little boy is the embodiment of PURE. JOY. He was a little unsure of his footing but nothing could stop him from enjoying every moment, oh and the sand, the more the merrier! His parents have such a sweet understanding of how fleeting each stage is and they have him photographed often, I'm so happy to have been able to capture him at this moment in time.

Alameda Coast

It was going to be an unexpectedly rainy day in San Francisco, so instead we spent the afternoon hunting for sticks and magenta succluent blossoms on the coastal trails of Alameda. Coco and her little sister Winnie Bea wore dresses hand-picked from the South, and Coco proudly wore jewelry handed down from her Mama's childhood. When the day was done and I was back home reviewing shots of Coco playing in the marsh, I could have sworn I was looking at a child from another era. I am beyond excited to share these photos with y'all.
